Public sphere:

According to Jürgen Habermas, the public sphere is a homogenous space where embodied subjects meet to present their claims and arguments and pursue a consensus. More broadly public sphere can be defined as an organizing center for (political) discussion and consent. This definition also applies for virtual spaces like the internet.
